Bobbie Fennick

Stone Carver

Bobbie Fennick is a stonemason and carver with a background in science and fine art. Having completed a stonemasonry course in 2001, she worked on iconic buildings including the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Brighton Royal Pavilion. In 2007 she set up Bobbie Fennick Stoneworks, and in 2014 she completed a postgraduate course in Historic Stone Carving at City and Guilds of London Art School.

Her recent projects include the Haggerston Stones in Hackney, and carving with sculptor Nina Bilbey on statues of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh for Canterbury Cathedral.

In recent years she has focused increasingly on letter carving projects. She has exhibited work at the Lord Mayor’s Mansion House, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and the Lettering Arts Trust Gallery in Snape. She takes public and private commissions.
